Gujarati culture lives in નાની નાની વાતોમાં.
The way we greet. The way we host. The way we argue with love. The way we say “મજામાં”.
“We grew up in homes where every meal began with hospitality, every deal was sealed with a cup of tea, and no one ever left without hearing ‘જમીને જજો’.”
Not souvenirs. Not cheap merch.
For decades, cultural objects in India have been trapped between two extremes: overly ornate tourist souvenirs made for curio cabinets, or cheap plastic novelty merchandise with pixelated jokes printed on mugs.
We founded Gujarati Objects with a single stubborn conviction: Gujarati language and everyday humor deserve to be crafted with the same architectural precision, tactile weight, and minimalist restraint as Scandinavian furniture or Japanese stationery.

Our design studio and laser joinery workshop are rooted in Ahmedabad — India’s textile and architectural capital. We source ultra-dense FSC-certified moisture-resistant wood fibre, pair it with high-precision CO₂ optical laser cutters, and finish every edge by hand with natural beeswaxes and mineral pigments.
The Philosophy of the Material
Why MDF? Engineered high-density fibreboard is homogenous, dimensionally stable, and accepts laser joinery without warping. By stacking 8mm and 12mm monolithic plates, we create dramatic shadow-relief that makes Gujarati typography leap off the surface.
When you pick up a Gujarati Objects monolith, you immediately feel its substance: 250 to 500 grams of solid wood weight, smooth chamfered edges, and a presence that grounds your workspace.
